Create simply sublime products with our exciting new Dye Sublimation service

ESP are proud to offer a new Dye Sublimation print service to all new and existing customers.

Dye Sublimation is a technique for printing on polyester and polyester resin coated products.

Compared to inkjet printing on other materials like paper or vinyl, Dye Sublimation is a more involved process. We have a dedicated team who manage all in house production and can now offer a huge array of printed products to both new and existing customers.

ESP use a market leading wide-format Mimaki CJV150-60 inkjet printer. The CJV150-60 is the largest and most sustainable printer in the range and is perfectly suited to the production of all Dye-Sub products.

Dye-Sub inks are printed on a special transfer paper and cut to size. From there, the ink is heat transferred from the paper onto a fabric by using a heat press.

The ink changes from a solid to a gas (hence the term “sublimation”) and enters the polyester fibres.

The polymers in the polyester are bonded together when heated. This process allows the graphics to become permanently embedded into the chosen material. As a heated gas, the ink becomes fully infused into the product instead of just printed on the surface, resulting in long-lasting, high-quality products.

To fulfil the process outlined above we also have 1 x Omega 750 heat press, 3 x Blizzard Ovens and 2 x DK20s heat presses. In addition, we have a turbo wrapper for accurate and quick placement of the prints onto mugs. This process applies a silicone wrap to provide good contact and the best quality finish.
